Many people are intimidated by yoga out of fear that they are not flexible. If this is you – fear not – the practice itself will help you feel more relaxed and comfortable in your body. Our instructors at the Steel Shop in St. Charles offer a wide range of movements, so you can opt in or out depending on your comfort level. Please notify the teacher of any injuries before class. Physical adjustments are given to help deepen each student’s practice. If you do not want physical adjustments, please inform the instructor.

Friday Yoga Reset : Yin + Restorative
A slow, grounding practice designed to help you end the week by releasing tension and stepping out of constant doing into supported stillness. This class invites the nervous system to settle into a “rest and digest” state, supporting the body’s natural recovery processes.
Through long-held, gentle shapes and fully support postures, you’ll experience a blend of yin (targeting connective tissue and joint health) and restorative (passive, prop-supported relaxation). Bolsters, blankets, and blocks create comfort and ease, allowing the body to soften without effort.
Especially supportive after a full week of climbing or training, this practice helps balance intensity with stillness and recovery.
Each session includes meditative guidance and subtle sound elements to quiet the mind and deepen the reset.
Space is held for you to fully unplug. Nothing to track, nothing to do, just room to rest and restore.
Please arrive a few minutes early to get settled before class begins. If you have any injuries, limitations, or concerns you’d like the instructor to be aware of, please let them know before class so they can help support your practice. Mats and props are available to borrow if needed.

Yoga Workshop: AcroYoga - Foundation to Flying
This workshop will introduce AcroYoga, is combination of partner yoga and acrobatics. The poses may look challenging, but they are actually more attainable than you may think. AcroYoga cultivates communication, trust, self confidence and fun! In this workshop you will learn how to base, fly and spo basic AcroYoga poses. Proper body mechanics will be taught so you can confidently life and be lifted into the poses. Sign up with a partner or come solo, either way, be prepared to laugh and have fun!
